Essay title: Jail Rehabilitation

Whether or not a criminal should be punished behind bars versus having a rehabilitation program is a common and controversial social issue across our nation. Throughout the years, feelings have changed from one spectrum to the other. In my best estimation, I believe that anyone, regardless of race, religion, and beliefs, that commits a crime, should be punished to the fullest extent or equal in comparison. It’s a continuous issue that will maintain and evolve as the years pass on.

In today’s day and age, crime, violence and hatred has become ordinary. People are shot, places are robbed and yet most of it doesn’t make the news because it has become such and epidemic that we as a whole have grown used to. Some might stress that these individuals need to be re-educated and re-habilitated because they are lost and have never been shown the light of what’s accepted and not. I think that’s a weak assessment
