Essay title: Marijuana

There are still doubts about the addictive nature of marijuana and about its effects. I believe that marijuana should not be used for entertainment purposes because its detriment properties risk your health, and it is not worthy to take those risks just for fun. I think it should be legalized only for medical reasons, and it should be available through prescriptions by physicians. Cannabis has the ability to control muscles, and this is valid because there is a localization of cannabis receptors in the motor areas of the brain. Consequently, some researches have found that marijuana used among patients with Parkinson’s disease, glaucoma and migraine headaches has shown positive effects. There are evidences that marijuana used by patients with cancer or AIDS has alleviated some of the pain that is involved in these conditions. But as always marijuana has harmful effects, it can suppress the immune system, and the AIDS patients who want to use marijuana as a medical therapy to reduce stress, pain, nausea, and increase appetite must deal with the possibility that their already weakened immune system may be further suppressed.
