In the business there were always got some other company that is targeting the same segmentation of group or interest. Therefore some of the definition of competitors is the effort of two or more group acting independently to secure the business of third party by offering the affordable item (http://www.oecd.org/topic/0,3373,en_2649_37463_1_1_1_1_37463,00.html). In the business we are about to venture; the fast food industry. There got a lot of competitor in the market. The biggest rival for our venture is not other than the biggest fast food company McDonald and other competitor such as the A&W and Kenny Rogers.
McDonald
McDonald Empire is establish in 1954, in just 5 years the McDonald Corporation is open up 100th shop in Chicago. In 1963 the McDonald is already sold at least 1 billion hamburgers throughout the whole Europe and it is estimated McDonald had the net income of 1 million dollars (http://www.mcdonalds.com.my/abtus/corpinfo/milestone.asp). In that year Ronald McDonald make debut and officially become the mascot of the company. In December 1980 Yang Bahagia Tan Sri Vincent Tan brought it the first ever McDonald franchise into Malaysia. However not until 29 April 1982 the first restaurant of McDonald open up and it is located at Jalan Bukit Bintang. After at least 15 years the 100th restaurant of McDonald in Malaysia has been open at the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Complex. This fast food empire captures the heart of many youngsters especially for those born in 1980s and 1990s. McDonald comes out various of meal such as the Happy Meal, Dinner Meal and now they also come out with the Breakfast Meal. Even though McDonald is well known fast food chain but the price of the product and their services is affordable even among the teenagers.
A&W Restaurant

In just 5 years the company has been register and A&W as the formal trademark for Allen product. 1925, Roy Allen is already been selling franchise and in just 8 years there already have 171 franchises
