• Why McDonald’s is faced with several lawsuits and controversies contrary to what McDonald’s claims to be.

2. Objective in solving the problem:

• To identify what factors made the customers dissatisfied with McDonald’s and why it leads to allegations.

3. Areas of Considerations:

• Strengths

i. Low priced products and Fast service.

ii. Stores are placed in strategic locations.

• Weaknesses

i. Poor handling of customers.

ii. Lack of initiative to create signage and warnings that will be beneficial for their customers.

iii. Stores are situated in a market wherein customers have fragmented preference, culture and beliefs.

• Opportunities

i. Customers are proactive giving them rooms for improvement.

• Threats

i. The ability of the customer to change preference at any given time.

ii. Policies governing McDonald’s existence and Public Policies.

4. Analysis:

• Given with the strengths and opportunities that McDonald’s has, still this is not enough to commensurate and cater the unique and specific needs, wants and demands of the public from McDonald’s with regards to food preparations.

• The weaknesses and threats were amongst the prevailing items for they belong to the External Environment which McDonald’s has no direct control or authority.

• Having these as weaknesses and threats leads McDonald’s to several lawsuits and allegations for even though they comply to standards set by the government, still they are liable to public policies that governs and protects individuals for the damage inflicted to them by a party due to negligence.

• Thus, McDonald’s was faced with dissatisfied customers that have filed several lawsuits because McDonald’s failed and neglected the importance of proper labeling and publicity that concerns the interest of the public it caters.
