Michel Angelo

Michelangelo was an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect. Michelangelo was born in Caprese in 1475 and grew up in Florence. Florence was known during the Renaissance for its artistic works. Michelangelo had great teachers while growing up. In his childhood, Michelangelo preferred drawing rather than schoolwork. At the age of 13 Michelangelo was apprenticed to Domenico Ghirlandaio. Michelangelo learned the technique of fresco from him. From 1490 - 1492 , Michelangelo lived in Lorenzo de' Medici's house. Lorenzo de' Medici was an art patron in Florence. Throughout his career, Michelangelo met many important men. Michelangelo took pride in all of his works. In my essay I will discuss Michelangelo’s most famous works of art.
