Essay title: Mistreatment of Women
It was around 2:00 o’clock in the morning, when my biological father stormed into the apartment as the drunk that he was. My mother was already asleep in the bed. Nevertheless, for some odd reason, he would awaken her and make an accusation of some kind. Regardless of my mother’s response, he would persist to make accusations, and eventually strike her. He would not just strike her once, but countless times in a variety of forms. This would then escalate into a formal beating of my mother. As the beating came to a stop, my mother usually would then go to her bed and sob in hope that my biological father would either leave or fall asleep. Even though I was not born yet, this incident has affected me in ways that have shaped who I am today. This incident is one of many that occurred between my biological father and my loving mother. I have not seen my father since I was three, which has been in my best interest. My biological father, who had Bi-Polar Disorder, is the reason that I do not drink and stay on my medications for the same disorder.
To all men, how do you treat the one you love? This can be a very sensitive topic and usually looked over by most men. This topic has become an issue in today’s society, which needs immediate attention. I believe the treatment of the woman that you love should be nothing less than royalty. I believe the way you treat her is the most important factor in a relationship. I believe that no woman deserves mistreatment. In order to achieve this, a man must act like a gentleman.
A man should be a gentleman at all times, which entails many factors. A gentleman is not ever disrespectful. In fact, he passionately respects women. If she wishes not to do something you do, then he grants her wish. He does not curse at her. He does not insult her in any way. He attempts to open all doors at all times. No matter the circumstance, a gentleman never strikes a woman in any form or manner. A gentleman will not cause his loved one cry. If he does, he apologizes and explains his reasoning for doing so. A true gentleman always walks his loved one to the door, and if allowed, opens the door. A gentleman never and will not ever commit adultery. He should always be honest with his loved one. He should always discuss any problems that he may have with her. She should also be able to discuss anything with her man. She should always be able to trust her loved one with anything and everything. A gentleman causes her to feel secure at all times. He causes a woman to feel comfortable at all times. He causes her to feel like a princess. If she does not feel this way, then you are not performing one or more of these factors that define true gentlemen. In order for her to feel these things, you must be a gentleman at all times.
If her loved one is treating her right, I believe that a woman should always feel happy and should be holding her head up high. The mistreatment of women in today’s society, in my opinion, is too common. The treatment of your loved one defines your relationship. Nothing infuriates me more than when a man mistreats a woman. I do not understand how a man can strike a woman. In my opinion, it is the
