Essay title: My Autobiography
I was born on a hot summer day in Chicago, IL. My mom went into labor around 2:00 AM on August 25, 1994. My dad drove my mom to the hospital where I was finally born around 6 pm. I was 7lbs. and 6 oz. and I was 20 inches long. I had blue eyes and blond hair just like my mama. The next day dad took us home where my grandparents came to visit.
For the first 6 months my mom stayed home with me. We lived in a town house in Bartlett IL. On January 6, 1995 I was baptized. My God parents were aunt Malgorzata who lives in Chicago and uncle Grzegorz who lives in Poland. My baptism was a big great party. After 6 months my mom had to go back to school
and my grandma took care of me. She talked to me in Polish all the time so I started to speak Polish first. When I was 4 I started going to preschool and I learned English. My first teacher was Ms. Lori she was an awesome teacher whom I loved very much.
I had great friends I my neighborhood Shannon, Matthew, Luke and Jacob. We would go to the park together, have a picnic, play ball and run around for hours. On weekends I would go on field trips with my parents and grandparents. I loved fishing with my grandpa and once I even caught a lobster. My favorite place to go was “Portillos” which was a 60’s burger joint. I went to kindergarten and first and second grade in Streamwood. It was a Catholic school named St. John the Evangelist. I had a lot of friends in my class. My class had 19 boys and we were a wild bunch.
I joined cub scouts and I really liked my troop. We did lots of fun things together, especially making race cars and selling popcorn. My first and second grades were very busy, because I had to learn a lot. I also was going to Polish school on Saturdays where I learned to read and write in Polish. My days were filled with playing with my friends going to the park and doing homework.
During my 2nd year at St. John the Evangelist I received first communion. That year my parents decided to move to Oregon. During the summer I went with Grandma and Grandpa for a whole month to Poland where I had a great time playing with my cousins, and I went on vacation to the Baltic Sea. After I came back to Chicago my dad and I drove a big truck across the country. After I moved to Oregon I went for another road trip with my mom and dad. I went to Disneyland, Sea world and Universal studios. After summer ended I started 3rd grade at Queen of Peace. It was hard for me to get used to my new school, because I missed my old friends very much. I also missed my grandparents who stayed back in Chicago. Since, I didn’t have my grandma taking care of me anymore I had to go to the Y.M.C.A after school and that is where I met my friend Cj.
After my parents bought a house I got two more friends, which are my best friends now- Jarrett and Jordan. In 2004 my little brother Jacob was born and my other grandma came from Poland to take care of him. I liked that because she would make all my favorite Polish foods. During the summers I would be going with my friends to OMSI camps, playing sports, swimming and having fun in the neighborhood.
