New Technology Sometimes Means Staff Reductions

New technology is being innovated constantly. This technology is being created to help make our lives easier. Although with all this new fantastic technology we are creating, we are starting to see the negative consequences that these new technological advancements are bringing to our lives.

With new technology being updated constantly, companies are trying to keep up with the increasing demand to stay number one and to keep up with the technological demands. With these companies doing so, they are discovering that with this new technology, they do not need the employees that they once employed because this new technology does their job at a much more cost efficient price. Although, with these new systems, many companies are trying them out at the expense of their employees. They get all this new technology to see how it works and if it will be more cost efficient for them, and if it is, they tend to let the employees go. Although all companies are doing this and keeping their prices down for the consumers, its not the most ethical thing that companies should be doing to their employees. I do not think that the staff should be made to learn this new technology if they would be fired anyway. Its really not a fair deal, and the companies seem to not care.

Many companies are seeing the negative effects that this technology is playing on their employees. Many employees think that if they sabotage the new system that maybe their job will be their. I could understand the theory of these employees and although I don’t necessarily think it’s the best thing to do, they kind of have no other choice.
