It is Nokia's quest to create a world where everyone is connected through mobile internet. Should Nokia continue its plan of 3G development in spite of a lot of risks and costs involved?

Nokia Corp. is a Finnish global telecommunications company that became the global leader in mobile telephony in a few years beating big rivals such as Motorola and Ericsson. Probably, one of Nokia's key success factors is its continuous high investment in R&D. However, along with Nokia's growth in size and diversity, came growth in complexity. It is Nokia's quest to create a world where everyone is connected. Nokia believes they can make it happen through the internet, specifically 3G.

3G is the next generation of wireless network technology that provides high speed internet to handheld devices such as mobile phones. This technological breakthrough allows people to experience an array of multimedia services such as video chat, fast internet browsing, downloading, and instant messaging. Although 3G has a lot of advantages, it does come with a lot disadvantages such as high costs. In addition, Nokia may not be the first one to come up with such technology because some competitors especially those in Japan are now offering the same kind of technology. Still, Nokia believes that 3G is the future of mobile telephony and their company, that's why their trying the best they can to solve this problem.

I believe that 3G technology is the future of mobile telephony and that Nokia Corp. should continue on its plan
