The Hudson River Museum located along side the Hudson River is an educational complex that includes the famous Glenview Mansion, The Andrus Planetarium and contemporary gallery space that displays changing exhibitions. The Hudson River Museum also displays their permanent collection of nineteenth and twentieth century American art. The Hudson River Museum specializes in combining the elements of history, art, and science on a given topic. Inside the museum one can find The Red Grooms Gift Shop and the Museum Cafй, which overlooks the Hudson River. The Hudson River Museum is located at 511 Warburton Avenue in Yonkers, New York.

People of all ages find pleasure in visiting The Hudson River Museum. The museum offers family programs and workshops on a weekly basis. The museum typically operates from Wednesday to Sunday from 12- 5 p.m., and 12-9 p.m. on Fridays. General Admission for the museum is $3 for adults and $1.50 for children under 12 and seniors. The general admission for the Planetarium is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12 and seniors. Memberships for the Museum and the Planetarium are available at discounted rates for individuals, seniors, and families. Discounted rates are also available for groups who wish to visit both the Museum and Planetarium. As a resident of Yonkers it was not hard to find a historical landmark. The Hudson River Museum has been around for years. I remember as a child my older cousin took me to visit the Planetarium and it was one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences. I enjoyed the planetarium show with the display of stars and the planets. It was both exciting and educational to experience a real life planetarium.
