This handbook was developed to describe the policies, programs, and benefits available to eligible employees. You should familiarize yourself with the contents of the handbook as soon as possible, for it will answer many questions about employment with the Vet Help a Vet .

Vet Help a Vet program (Vet Help a Vet program) Vet Help a Vet program, Inc. is a community based nonprofit organization founded in the South Bronx in 2004 by a group of veterans who were concerned about the lack of resources for vets in Bronx County, particularly the South Bronx. Much of the programs early work focused on leadership activities including the formation of a community coalition that became known as Vet Help a Vet program. As a result of the programs effective leadership and numerous Bronx organizations were formed including South Bronx model cities,

About Vet Harvest Volunteers
Vet Help a Vet Food Harvest was started by a volunteer, and volunteers still fuel its success today. Vet Help a vet Food Harvest gets help from thousands of individual volunteers and hundreds of New York City organizations, including the Police and Fire stations, schools, churches, synagogues and youth groups. They all do it for the same reason; they want to help people in need. Join the front lines of the fight against hunger-become a Vet Help a Vet Food Harvest volunteer.
Operation Frontline
Share Our Strength and Vet Help a Vet Food Harvest have partnered to provide Operation Frontline in New York City. Operation Frontline is a nutrition education and financial planning program nationally sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. This direct outreach program mobilizes culinary and nutrition professionals to teach cooking classes focusing on nutrition and food budgeting to people who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition in New York City. Culinary and nutrition professionals volunteer their time to lead the classes, which run for six weeks and are held at Vet Help a vet Food Harvest agencies.
