We live in a society where most people judge each other based on economic status. The truth is that through out the years money has grown to be a strong tool to have under your possession. Money is strength and the more you have the easier life becomes. Wealth opens doors and generates a world of opportunities. Money definitely makes a difference in life, it lowers stress , it allows you to receive better health care, and creates power.
Most of the prices today make the essentials for survival end up costing an arm or a leg so the average Joe has to juggle his money at the end of the month in order to pay the bills. Having money allows a person to live a more stress free lifestyle. Imagine living everyday without worrying about making mortgage payments or having enough food at the table. Many illnesses such as heart disease are highly affected by stress. Think about the stress levels a person living paycheck to paycheck goes through at the end of the month, now compare them to those of a person with wealth. The wealthy person is less stressed out therefore is less likely to suffer from a stress related illness.
Given the previous information a middle class man collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. He was told that he needed a new heart. The hospital says there is one available with same blood type and meets all the qualifications. However, his insurance will only pay for a part of it. The rest he needs to pay out of his own pocket. Lets say it is 150,000 dollars and he does not have the money. He doesn't get a heart and dies. Now lets say, the same thing occurs, but with a person who does have 150,000 dollars. The man gives the hospital 150,000 and the person gets their heart and lives. For most of the hospitals in our community money decides who lives and who dies . Not only have the prices for health services become more expensive but the prices for medications have also sky rocketed. Money is a strong indicator of the quality of the health care you will receive.
