Piers Anthony (Dillingham Jacob), a writer of science fiction and fantasy, was born on August 6, 1934 in Oxford, England. He has written many novels and short stories, but he is mostly known for his book series Xanth. Originally, he wanted the Xanth series to be only a trilogy, but it has turned out to be a "trilogy of thirty."
