Essay title: Pioneer Cemetery

The Pioneer Cemetery is a unique cemetery in many different ways. I have been to many different cemeteries, and I have never seen one quite as unique as this one. When I first saw the cemetery a feeling came across me that made me feel sort of sad in a way. When I looked at the run-down tombstones, broken bricks, torn down fences, and much more rubbish it almost made me feel sorrow for the descendants buried in this cemetery. I know if my family members where buried in this cemetery I would definitely have to do something about it. Another thing I noticed was there are some pretty important people buried in this cemetery. People such as Captain William Butler are buried here. Captain William Butler was a native of Virginia. He was also a pioneer settler of Butler County. Captain William Butler is the person whom Butler County was named after. The Indians near Butler Springs massacred him on March 18, 1828. Another name I noticed was Walter Oliver Parmer. The reason I noticed this name is because the elementary school in Greenville is called W.O. Parmer. Come to find out, the school is not even named after him.
