President George W. Bush began his first term as president on January 20, 2001 and ended on January 20, 2005, which is when his second term began. The current term is only about half way over. During his first term, George W. Bush faced many challenges such as terrorist, immigration, war, and oil prices. He had at one point the highest approval rating of any president. That is likely not the case anymore as troops still prowl the grounds of Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other middle-eastern countries. All in all Bush has done a lot of things that were supposed to help America out but none of them have really worked out. At first, yes, he had done a “great” job, but the fact is that after the first two to three years the highest rated president started falling in ranks. While being occupied by the “War on terrorism”, which has somehow flipped to the War on Iraq, President Bush has neglected at least three of eight roles. These roles include Chief Executive, Chief Diplomat, and Chief Citizen. Some may think that there are more, but it depends on your interpretation.
