Once you know the basics of AcaDemon search, finding the best paper will never be so easy.

" +" Search

To specify that the paper must have a certain word, you need to put a "+" in front of that word. E.g.: +affirmative +action will find you only the papers that contain both words "affirmative" and "action". Note that if you type two words affirmative action without the + signs, you will receive all the papers that have both of these words, and then those papers that have either of the words.

" -" Search

If you are looking for papers that do not contain a specific word you can search by using a "-". Eg: Shakespeare -Hamlet will provide all the papers that include "Shakespeare" but not "Hamlet".

You can combine "+" and "-". Eg: +Japanese +culture -US produces all the papers which include the words "Japanese culture" but which do not include the word "US"

Other search features:

The Pencil Ranking Feature: The pencil ranking feature allows you to immediately scan the search results for the most relevant papers. The length of the pencil indicates the relevancy to your search. The longer the pencil (also seen by %), the more relevant the paper.

Page Limits: When you have a minimum or maximum page limit requirement, you can select this option. Please note that one page translates into about 250 words, so when searching for papers between 2-6 pages, you will get papers between 500-1,750 words.

Currency: Convert the paper's price to your preferred currency.

We calculate the number of pages by dividing the number of words by 250.

A paper written in Courier 12 font, with margins of 1 inch, contains roughly 250 words per page.

Please note, however, that fonts and spacing can differ from paper to paper; and for this reason we provide the exact number of words.

An opinion paper which argues for the pro-choice aspect of abortion.

2,285 words, 5 sources, MLA, $ 61.95 USD

Paper Summary:

This paper begins with an overview on the definition of abortion. Second, the demographics of which groups of women have abortions are discussed. Finally, the reasons why a pro-choice stance on abortion is the correct stance is provided. Outline: Introduction Abortion Defined Who Has Abortions Support for the Pro-Choice Alternative Pro-Choice and Instances of Rape Pro-Choice and Instances of Incest Pro-Choice and Illegal and Unsafe Abortions Pro-Choice and Medically Risky Pregnancies Pro-Choice and Poverty Pro-Choice and Drug Abusers Pro-Choice and a Woman's Right to Life, Liberty and Freedom Pro-Choice and Both Sides of the Political Fence Pro-Choice and Religious Freedom Conclusion

From the Paper:

"It is the status of the fetus that appears to be at the center of the controversy. In the first trimester of pregnancy, an "embryo is clearly pre-human; only the mystical notions of religious dogma treat this clump of cells as constituting a person" (Peikoff). And, with this infliction of religious beliefs on others, as mentioned earlier, begins the slippery slope to infringing on others religious freedom."
