Essay title: Socialization Essay

My family has played a big role in my life and will continue too tell the day I die.

The person who has influence me the most is my mom. She has always been there to guide me and she is a very determined person that will do what it takes to get what ever it is done. When I was eleven my father came out of the closet and broke up the family he started because he was gay. My mom heart broken still fought on and raised me and my five brothers. My work ethics developed by watching her and the way she raised me. My mother always put a roof over my head, food in my belly and clothes on my back with out the help of my father. She taught me to work hard to get what I wanted and that wasn’t because she didn’t want to give it to me. It was because she couldn’t afford to give it to me, so I started work at the age of nine as a ranch hand to save and by a dirt bike. By making me work for the extra’s I gained a good work ethic and worked my way into a great job and opportunity to go to college and become a service technician for the Caterpillar Cooperation.

My grandfather is the reason why I’m at school working to get my degree in diesel science. He was a train technician and worked on the Detroit engine that ran the electric motors on trains for 35 years. When I was growing up him and my grandma lived next store. He taught me to work the fields and my families land with the tractors and assist him in making repairs on his farm equipment. Whether it was changing a tire or rebuilding an engine he would take the time to teach me. By my grandfather taking the time to teach me to fix equipment sparked an interest that I’m now pursuing as a career. He was the father figure I needed when I was a child and like my mother taught me to work hard and be grateful for what I have and to take pride in everything I accomplished.

I have not been married or cohabiting.

I have not yet been a parent.

My racial beliefs and culture run deep with southern history and German history. I have many family members in the Ku Klux Klan and my great grandparents from mother’s sides supported Hitler and the Nazi party during World War Two. I’m still a racist and I was brought up that way. I have gained more tolerances as I have grown so I still may function in today’s society. I am not a part of the KKK or the American Nazi party nor do I have any racist tattoos. My families culture is based around agriculture and I will continue to live in the same culture as a tractor mechanic and just good old country living. I was born and raised on a farm were family comes first and always will no matter what.

Religion plays a big part in mine and my families’ everyday life. I am strong Christians and go to church almost every Sunday morning if I don’t have to go to work. I may sin everyday but I have been taught that God forgives me if I accept him and Jesus in my heart and ask for forgiveness. I don’t live by the bible and live life to its fullest and hope for no regrets. I was brought up with good strong Christian morals like to help those in need of help. I hope to one raise my family the same why I was raised and to pass my morals onto my offspring. Religion helped me establish a sturdy foundation to build my life on.

I was never in child care.

Elementary was a wonder experience for me as a child to interact with other people other then my family. In elementary school I not only learned the basics of reading, writing and math but I started to learn reasonability as well. Not only did I start to get homework but I also begun to receive chorus at home as well. Homework and chorus made me have to have a routing everyday because I was just like every kid wanting to have fun and play. So I built a routing of doing the homework right when I got home and then my chorus which would leave me the evenings to Watch TV and play games with my brothers. I fell behind well in elementary school when I fell down my houses stairs and damaged my right ear so bad I could hear out of it for a year and had a tube in it for four months. But I still went to school everyday and did my best.

Middle school is when I was able to catch up on my school work and I was able to extend class with everyone else that didn’t need special help. Middle school was my worst part of my life do to the fact of the large Mexican population at my middle school and my dad coming out of the closet. Just after I started sixth grade my dad came out to the family a said he was gay. I broke my mother’s heart and mess me up mentally because I was taught that boy’s are only suppose to like girls and not other boy’s and I still am against homosexuals because I believe its wrong. My eighth grade year just got worse after I moved to a new town with my mother. I went to a middle
