Tiger Airways should be made aware of where the good opportunities facing it are and what are the interesting trends it should be aware of. One glaring advantage of using YouTube is that it is serving 100 million videos per day. No matter what YouTube's content (unlicensed, kids falling of skateboards, etc), that's a huge number and there is a lot of opportunities for Tiger Airways to benefit from such a huge audience.
Changes in technology and markets on both a broad and narrow scale are opportunities that Tiger Airways can utilise. According to Forrester Research, online consumer auction sales will reach US$65 billion by 2010. This is almost one-fifth of all online retail sales. The growth of high speed broadband, and the number of online users, has opened new windows of opportunity for reaching viewers. The aims is to find the most effective internet advertising techniques for making full use of the internet’s, rapidly expanding, global marketplace. Internet advertising is in the uncontrollable pace of development and its growth is now seen to catch up with the newspapers, magazines and television.
Google recently acquired YouTube. This will result in a greater audience for Tiger Airways with the additional Google viewers. YouTube will now be able to take advantage of the complex engines that Google has created to monitor its ad business.
