The Usual Suspects is an excellent movie. The performance of Gabriel Byrne as an ex-crooked cop (Dean Keaton) who had become straight, or had at least tried to was interesting. Throughout the whole film it seemed that he was the puppet master controlling every move the other four made. But at the same time, it seemed that no matter how hard he tried to get out of trouble the deeper he dug himself in until finally it came back to haunt him. He kept saying one more job just one more. But in the end would end up dead simply because criminals never learn

Benicio Del Toro’s performance on being the coward of the group (Fred Fenster) was well portrayed. He seemed to be deathly afraid of Keyser Soze. So, like any coward, he decided to take a cut of the money and leave. Little did he know he end up dead on a beach. Where he would later be found and buried by Michael, ‘Verbal’, and Keaton.

Stephen Baldwin (Michael McManus) was good at showing that he was pretty much in it for the money. That was until his friend Fred Fenster was killed by Keyser Soze. Then he pretty much just wanted revenge. Which he made quite clear with the attitude of his character.

Kevin Spacey (Roger 'Verbal' Kint) plays a pretty good cripple. He wobbled around and seemed so innocent and oblivious to what was going on. And thinking that Keaton was his friend when in reality Keaton didn’t care about anyone but himself. I’m sure no one ever suspected he was the mastermind of the job. He plays it off well making the police think he is innocent
