1. Company Background/History: One of America’s most successful car businesses started in southern California. Back in October 1957 Chrome and tailfins were on top of the American automotive design game. It wasn’t too long after that Toyota introduced the Corona in 1965. This car was an instant hit with Americans all over the country. All throughout the 1970’s Toyota was the top selling import brand car in America. However in the 1980’s they switched their style and began to manufacture their cars in the U.S. Now a day the Toyota Company is headquartered in Torrance, CA, and is leading the industry in customer service and product quality.

2. Product/Service Line: Toyota sells a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUV’s/vans, and hybrids. The top cars that they sell are the Avalon, Camry, Camry Solara, Corolla, Matrix, Prius and Yaris. The two trucks that they sell are the Tacoma and the Tundra. In vans/SUV’s they offer the 4runner, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Land Cruiser, RAV4, Sequoia, and the Sienna. The Highlander, Prius, and the Camry are offered in hybrid vehicles. They also provide you with the opportunity to build your own car. Toyota prides themselves on their products ability to have great gas mileage, topping out with the Prius which gets 48 miles to the gallon.
