Quality assurance is a very important aspect to Riordan Manufacturing. This assurance goes down through the organizational chart and affects each employee in some way. The production employee is responsible for line assembly operations to mass produce products. With this job there is a responsibility to ensure that the quality of the product is ensured. This quality assurance also affects the employees who are higher on the organizational chart.
Marcos Pinero is the Quality Manager for Riordan Manufacturing and is responsible for the quality of the products and the service that Riordan provides.
The quality manager's job description is: "Plans, coordinates and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards" (University of Phoenix [Uop], 2006). The quality manager then reports to the Vice President of Operations (VPO) Mark Meitzel. The VPO is responsible for coordinating activities of operation. Meitzel aids the Chief Operating Officer in formulating and administering organization policies.
