In 1468 a great man was born. A man who would later change the world of trade. This man was Vasco da Gama. Vasco da gama was born in a seafaring town named Sines in 1468.
Vasco always enjoyed the sea. Even as a young lad the sea had a major role in his life. The ocean had s large influence on him and his future. As a boy he regularly participated in such recreational activities as fishing, boating, swimming, and sailing.
Very little was known about Vasco da Gama's life before he was appointed as the captain of the fleet sent to find a sea route to India. Vasco da Gama son of EstГЄvГЈo da Gama, a knight commander of Cercal of the Order of St. James of the Sword. He was a great man as a leader and an explorer.
