Essay title: What Does It Mean to Be an Ameican

What does it mean to be an American

What it means to be an American is very special. Some people don't realize how lucky they are to actually be a true American. By definition an American is someone who is born in America. That is not nearly what it means to be an American. To be in American you have to have faith in your country, respect your country, and most of all believe in your country. Some people say they are in American which they very well probably are. But they aren't a true American unless they do those following things for their country. Some people take the term "being an American" to an entire new level. These people defend our country in the military. If you are willing to go across the world, to defend your country, by risking your life, you are a true American.

You need to follow the laws and make sure you respect your country.

Another big thing in being in American is voting for your countries leaders. If you're going to be an American you need to at least vote for your nations leaders. It is your duty as an American to decide who is going to lead your country.

What do you think when you think of an American? You think of Justice, and the president, and courtesy. That's what I think of when I think of an American. I think of things like policemen, firefighters, National Guard, and the military. All these things are pure examples of what it's like to be an American.

Some other things that portray what it's like to be an American, are sports. Sports are a very American tradition. There are some sports traditions that are like no other in America. When you think of sports in America you have to think of the American Pass time of baseball. Some people say that if you don't support baseball, your not American. I believe that
