Why Romeo and Juliet Death Was a Tragedy

In Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues leads to envy and many secrets. Romeo and Juliet see each other in secrecy without the families knowing of their relationship. The discrimination between the houses, and the lack of hope between the fake lovers caused confusion between Romeo and Juliet. The decisions to commit suicide by Romeo and Juliet were fueled by anger, lust, and haste.

The first decision was caused by Romeo’s anger because he was forbidden to see Juliet by his family the Montague because she was a Capulet. He also was anger because he say his friend Mercutio be killed by Tybalt. Juliet showed her anger to her father Lord Capulet because she did not want to marry Paris. When Prince Escalus banished Romeo, son of the Lord Montague, (appositive phrase) from Verona it caused Juliet to become very sad and angry because she lusted for Romeo’s love.

The second decision to be suicidal was the lust that Romeo and Juliet had for each other. The more the parents disallowed them t see each other the greater the lust grew between them.
