Will Ferrell was born on July 16, 1967 in Irvine, California. He grew up there with his father Lee, his mother Kay, and his younger brother Patrick. He came from a family that was no stranger to the spotlight since Lee (Will’s father) played keyboard and saxophone for The Righteous Brothers’ Band. In High School Ferrell had it all. He was on the football and baseball team, as well as the class clown. His sense of humor was really noticed with Ferrell and a friend performed a hilarious advertisement for the senior class t-shirts.
In 1995, Ferrell was cast as a member of the Saturday Night Live crew. He experienced a great deal of fame in his first season, which ensured him for many more on the SNL set. After some time Ferrell started looking toward the big screen for more job opportunities. He started off with small roles, showing up here and there in movies with some big name actors. Ferrell didn’t stop there. He started receiving bigger and bigger parts until he has become the star we all know and love to watch. He has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role” and “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture.”
