Thank you for taking your time parents and teachers to be here. We are all truly grateful for this event and for you being here. We are in one of the best place’s in Chicago… MCA. The staff at MCA values the children like their own. The teachers are the most patient people in the world. They handle us at our worst and help us when were in need. They give up their time in order to help us. For that they receive our best thanks.
This night is one of our first days of the rest of our lives. Today we put in place what we’ve learned for the past 9 years. Tonight might be one of the most fun days of our lives so far, but also one of the most serious. From this day on, we will not be seen as kids, but as young adults.
As young adults, we need to go into high school mature. High school is a place where students get lost, spiritually and mentally. It is in High school where we decide our future. High school is where we decide if we want to follow God or go our own way, the wrong way. High school is where we apply what we’ve learned from chapel and bible class. Statistics show we have very low chances of us going to church. We never discussed if we ever wanted to still follow God after MCA. But whatever we do, we need to it with God’s help.
This school has taught me many things, things that I will never forget. When Mr.Chohan puts on debates for bible class, I enjoy listening to them. They prepare us to what to say and gives me unique information and false lies about Christianity. I also learn interesting like in 6th grade, Mr. Smith showed us the Coke and Mentos experiment. We had to bring a lot of different sodas and put a mentos in it, and we watched how high the soda burst. It taught me to stay out the way of exploding soda. There were also times where it was serious. In the 7th grade with Mrs. Solis , we did a mock trial from the book,” Roll of thunder hear my cry”. It taught us how the legal system works.
