Hardware Vulnerabilities
With Aircraft solutions there is an issue related with its hardware. This becomes a problem because there is a lack of protection that is being displayed between its commercial division and the rest of the world, which are indeed connected to the internet. The CD connects to both the headquarters and to the users i.e. technology group. This poses a huge threat that the CD goes through the Internet to even make it back to home base. The threat from potential outsiders getting their hands on this information is very critical and high risk. The information that is carried across with the CD is very confidential including company budgets and even employee information.
The threats from outsiders hacking into this network server that carries organization and employee information is very vulnerable for attack. The system is lacking adequate protection of security such as a firewall. The CD in Chula Vista, the CA does not have a firewall protection. This firewall is located between AS Main Router and the Router to DD. Without this firewall there are many different threats that can occur and potential hurt Aircraft Solutions tremendously. To comply with security the Defense Department must be routed through the Headquarters.
