All about Me
How I got to college
My son is almost 3 year old. All I can think about is how to get him interested in school. I’ve chosen the best academy I read to him every night. And still all he seems interested in is TV and food. So I keep his TV well monitored, offer healthy eating choices, and take him out and play every night. But when I sing the alphabet to him or start counting things he go back to the TV and shows no interest in basic skills
I thought I could get him interested by getting interested in school myself so I decided to pursue a bachelors degree in nursing and minor in childhood education. So I could learn to teach him and advance my career.
So I have a goal, How to pursue it. First I went to the college to find out how to get started. The orientation desk told me I need to go over to the assessment center to take some assessment tests before I could get started, so I went right over.
I was very nervous the school was large and intimidating with people hustling here and there I started wandering if I could do this was I strong enough to face what I did not know and patient enough to let new knowledge flow.
Inside was a small desk with a small busy woman helping another person and a man who seemed equally as busy approached me “how can I help you madam” he said “I need to take some placement test” I responded so he set me up and I was on my way.
They took about 2 hours and scared the hell out of me what the test would reveal. I thought basic level for every thing but I was shocked there must be some mistake Engwr 300 I only went to 7th grade then went back for a GED. How could this be, it does not make sense.
