Anne Hutchinson
Anne Hutchinson was a woman before her time. In a time dominated by man she stood alone; and won rights for both Puritans and women. She belongs in the Ringgold History Hall of Fame for many good reasons such as she fought for religious rights. Back then they didn't think women could be very good leaders and Anne thought different to that. She indeed is a women born in Alford, Lincolnshire, England in 1591 and lived in till 1643 she died in an American Indian attack. In 1634 she emigrated with her husband and children from England to Massachusetts Bay Colony. After she settled in Boston. She worked as a nurse and midwife she also lead a Bible study class that met in her home. She got charged with hersey and sedition and then banished. She went to Rhode Island in which she moved after her husband's death to Long Island then to Pelham Bay where she was killed in an Indian attack.Anne Hutchinson was a woman before her time.
