Adrenaline rushes through my body as I take my first steps into the emergency room. Being overwhelmed by the massive trauma that lays before me, but nonetheless I am ready. Calling out orders and once again I have saved another person’s life. I aspire to live this every day. Emergency medicine is the field that allows me to live life on the edge of my seat. There is no other profession that allows me that satisfaction of saving trauma victims. There also are not many other professions that take as much dedication, as becoming a doctor does.

My entire life, I have longed to work in the medical field. I have a passion for a fast paced challenging environment. Watching the television show ER truly inspired me. I began watching the show in the very first season and I was hooked ever since. They portray a doctor’s life amazing; living minute by minute saving one patient after another, and retaining an amazing passion for work. Being a doctor is, and continues to be so intriguing, I wait for new episodes and follow the show faithfully through one dramatic episode after another. The show allows me to see how it truly is in an Emergency room, it gives me the real version, and gives me a taste of what life will soon be like for me. .
