Business Model Description: National Biscuit Company, now known as Nabisco in today's market, was originated in 1792 bakery Pearsons and Sons which then evolved into Nabisco in the 1800's. Nabisco is one of the largest bakeries in the world and employees over 1500 employees while producing over 320 million pounds of crackers and cookies. Part of the Kraft corporation, Nabisco produces chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps, cheese crackers, and many more delights (Wikipedia®, 2011).
Nabisco has been in business for over two centuries and is a strong leader and competitor in the cookie and cracker snack market. Through eye popping packaging and quality products, Nabisco feeds over 3 million children and adults each year (Wikipedia®, 2011). Nabisco believes with strong presence in the marketplace, they can continue to lead the market with their cookie and cracker products.
