Restaurant is a place where one goes & not only eats food but also spends good time with their family & friends. Restaurant also serve as an ideal place for entertaining guests, as one does not have to worry about anything as everything is taken care by the restaurant. The idea of the whole family is to leave the home to eat a meal in a public place just for fun or even for convenience.

The concept of eating out has recently become popular in India and there is a great demand of restaurant providing quality food and service backed with a great ambience. People will prefer to go with full family or with friends for enjoyment and fun. Now a day's restaurants are becoming more & more popular due to increase in colleges, business, etc.

The field of food industry in a restaurant is interdisciplinary. It draws idea from food technology, food chemistry, management, accounting & finance, marketing, law, etc. & from these disciplines are formulated approaches, systems, & analytical tools designed to make restaurant a satisfying experience for people.

The scope of management in the restaurant industry demands expertise, application of a wide range of skills & a broad spectrum of knowledge to many types of business problems.
