Conduct Business Research

Environmental impact is an issue faced by most organizations. The list of topics in this area range from energy conservation to waste removal and recycling. There are benefits and costs associated with business practices that are either environmentally conscious or not. An organization with high energy costs can streamline an operation by choosing alternative methods of power. Cost from this type of transformation is a variable that needs to be taken into account. While conducting this research many variables will have to be considered before a hypothesis on the subject can be reached and a summation of the ideas will give justification to the need for research in this area.

Conserving energy plays an important part of the economy.  Energy conservation is the efficient use of energy without curtailing the services that energy provides (Alters, 2009).  Energy is a source that we depend on for virtually everything in our life.  If businesses do not employ proper conservation methods the day will come when non-renewable energy runs out.  Reducing the use of energy will not only help a business’s budget, it will also help the environment.  There are many valid reasons why energy conservation should be considered.  It helps reduce carbon emission that the burning of fossils fuels cause.  Conservation reduces the demand on the levels of fossil fuels.  One of the effects of burning fossil fuels are the harmful gases pumped into the air.  Energy conservation has the ability to improve the air quality.  Less burning equals less harmful gas in the air.  Energy conservation will help prolong the non-renewable energy resources.  The need for an increased effort to secure a reliable supply of energy is very high.
