The information technology makes people come together and able to share the necessary information and knowledge, so CIO position has greatly risen as information and has become an increasingly part of a current organization. A CIO is involved with making the analysis and re-engineering of existing business process, developing and researching the ability of new technological tool, reforming and reshaping the enterprise’s physical infrastructure and network access, and exploring the innovative technological knowledge and information. CIO should head the effort to integrate the long term strategy and current business plan. For example, implementing the ERP system is involved wide range implication in most of companies. The CIO is gradually to be a role that he or she should create and develop the business value in order to monitor the IT asset. In the modern organization, CIO gradually places emphasis on the service management, such as, SaaS, laaS which are the flexible delivery technique. Even though CIO is a third part manager for the organization, it is indispensable to improve business skills and monitor the whole company ability as technological experts with limited applications. Besides, the CIO is much about anticipating the trends in the market place regarding technology. By anticipation and trends, company is able to ensure the navigation and target and whether it is a proper IT planning that is aligned to the other corporate strategy of the organization. In current business IT is involving the marketing & Sales, manufacturing, finance & accounting, human resources and other aspects. IT can make business and process more efficient and effective, and change the world by cloud computing, open source, open standard & Web services, services oriented architecture (SOA), big users, big data, social networking, and mobile computing. Especially the big data and cloud computing, it really makes the world change. Big data is an application and is just like the snow ball which rolls down the hill and collect all of information from the past to now. The mature application can analyze the trend in the future and anticipate the action people may have to ensure organization going toward on the right way. However, different company may create different application for big data. It is a pyramid and depends on the investment fund. In the all of bottom, it is the small to medium which revenues below $ 100 million and it may have enough funds to develop the big data. Even though the company may have big data, it lacks accurate and mature application. In the all of middle part, it is Mid-market which revenues below $1 billion & greater than $100 million and it may have some funds to develop big data, but have a lack of management. If the organizations don’t monitor its application, the flood of information is like the pile of garbage collect on the hill which is messy, useless, and not organized. In the all of top of pyramid, it is the Enterprise which revenues $1 billion & greater and it have adequate funds to develop the big data and other application in the efficient management. Besides, the IT department has a chance to be a top in the world by researching and developing the newest and most innovative skills that will also help company to obtain the patent, such as Apple Company. It used to lead the world excited and different because this company is able to create new application and make it popular. After that Apple obtain the patent of new invention. Even though the patent has been gotten, other competitors began to mimic the system and develop its own new technological application. For example, Apple and Samsung still have a fight in the court because Apple thinks that Samsung is a suspect who copy and mimic new technological application from Apple, and it is a stealer. Another big impact of technology information is cloud computing because companies are able to save plenty of information on the Could System and they don’t need to the hardware to deal with the saving. It is a breakthrough because people or companies have access to the Could System by Internet, and back up a number of information no matter where people are. This technological progress changes the world and makes people’s lives more convenient. However, it has some difficulties that wait for be solved and that is security issue because currently some people are able have the access to Cloud system in order to steal someone’s important information.
