Committee Essay
We as a committee group working together, we had good communication among the group. We as a group have decided on the job posting of Sherry's. This posting was for a certified fire fighter/ paramedic for the city of Hialeah. This job posting has many different requirements. We has a committee had to make plenty of discussion and had to communicate on which resume was that of the most qualified for the position. We had to look at the many skills and explain why we thought which applicant was better than that of the other. So as a committee this is what we can up with.
As we look at the resumes of all three applicants we have to see what skills each on have. We will start with Joe Friday:
1) Volunteer Fire/ Ambulance company for 3 years
2) Computer skills
3) Major was Emergency Health Services
These are the only skills that I see when it comes to Joe Friday, so as a group we have agreed that Joe Friday was not an individual that we would consider for this position.
Looking at John Starks he had many skills that were a plus for his application, here we will look at his many skills that make him qualified for this position:
1. His whole career has be based on either Firefighter / Paramedic
2. He has a degree of BA in Science in Emergency Management
3. Has Certifications in:
A. Hazmat'
B. CPR
C. CDL with tanker endorsements
D. Auto Extrication
E. SCBA
F. Rope Rescue
G. Rapid Intervention

4. He has several rescues and fire operations
5. The resumes shows that he has passion for his job
6. Dedication to what he does
7. Has several Professional Recognition
8. Has 13 years' experience in related field
9. His resume shows of a hard worker
John as many of the skills that is required for this position. He is definitely one of the candidates that we all have thought highly of for this position.
Now we come to Jill Smith, she is another individual that would be well qualified for this She has 19 years' experience

A. Law Enforcement Certification
B. B.A. Psychology
C. A.A. Name of College
2. Certification:
A. Certified Law Enforcement Officer
B. Certified Emergency Medical Technician
C. Dept. of Defense Certified Firefighter I & II
3. Several different computer skills
4. She too shows dedication to her job
5. Is servicing in the Air Force with in the Medical Group
6. Has several awards / achievements
7. Her whole career is based on related field
8. She has worked her way up to Assistant Fire chief
9. Good communication skills
We have a committee have a few different views on Jill. See Jill has many good qualifications for this position. Though some feel she is over qualified since she has worked as an assistant fire chief. She does have all the qualified requirements to full fill this position
As a committee we had to review what job we had to offer and discuss thoroughly what skills we were looking for, when seek to hire this position. These are some things that we came up with:
1. We would have to know the extent of their training
2. We will need to know if they are dependable and reliable
3. If they work well in high stress environments and under pressure
4. We need to know there back ground and if they are drug free.
