Communication

Communication is an important aspect when trying to achieve success in the business world. A person’s communication can reflect their knowledge. It is essential for good communication for a person to achieve his or her goals. There are different types and different ways to communicate. Communication can come in verbal and nonverbal ways to project your self. Verbal communication is either spoken orally or it is written.

You first must decide what you are communicating about. Take your audience in consideration to decide what you want them to know. Every message contains six components: context, sender-encoder, message, medium, receiver-decoder, and feedback. These components let the communicator know what will happen when displaying what needs to be said.

People also communicate with nonverbal messages. Nonverbal communications include: appearance, body language, and silence, time, and space. Appearance has great influence even before the message is seen or heard. The way a person looks or their surroundings affect what people listening might perceive. A person’s body language, facial expression, posture and movement, smell and touch, voice, and sounds includes their body language.
