Does this information (WBS) allow you to define any milestones of the project? Why or why not? What are they?

The information that provides the WBS is not enough to define any milestones of the project. Indeed, in order to define any milestones, at least one of the following information is needed:

• The estimated time of the activity (for example, the beginning and the end)

• The cost of activities

• The resources needed for the project (people, capital or equipment)

Thus, the WBS describes all the activities needed for the project but doesn’t provide any information about the milestones of the project.

1. When the project estimated to be completed? How long will the project take?

The project is estimated to be completed on 02/02/2012 and will take 530 days.

3. Which activity has the greatest amount of slack?

It is “Utilities documentation” with 115 days of slack.

4. How sensitive is the network?

A sensitive network is a network in which the critical path is likely to change during the life of the project.

In this case, we can say that it is not a very sensitive network because there is only one critical path.
