Dependency on technology – How much REAL, How much VIRTUAL?

Technology is an application of scientific knowledge for practical purpose, especially in industry. Human life is evolving with help of technology. Technology helps to prosper business and industries. Earlier many technological invention took place due to industrialisation. Invention helped business to grow and provided better flexibility to be ahead in competition. Eventually technology entered in human life to make every piece of work very easy and smooth. Today technology touches each and every aspect of human life. Technology adopted in business to overcome various difficult situation and it provides greater flexibility. Where human can’t reach or life at peril, technology is utilised there. Then technology took further steps to become part of micro operation of industries. Now days accounting is also done with help of software. But are we too dependent on technology?
However, now time has reach to introspect the level of addiction and dependability of technology. Does the operational excellence of technology always excel in fruitful way or it would become bottleneck at some point of time. GETCO has adopted many technology from time to time to enhance performance of its operation. With new technological innovation, GETCO is able to provide uninterrupted power supply to its customer. GETCO has transmission network across Gujarat which constitutes different geographical challenges like coastal area, mountain ranges, dense forest and arid deserts. GETCO has implemented many technologies like SCADA, RFID, Digital relays and many others to say. Technology is boon for GETCO which reduce human vulnerability to such difficulties. GETCO conducts online examination for employee recruitment. Very few governments company have adopted such kind of online examinations. So technology is finely woven in GETCO’s grid. But it is very difficult to say that GETCO is completely dependent on technology. The cases wise study depicts that technology has become imperative for all of us. Any organisation can prosper with proper mix of human and technology adoption.
