Depression
Have you ever heard of depression? If you haven’t depression is an illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things. Depression can affect people differently then others, and in some cases more sever then others. If you feel that one of your loved ones suffers depression you should try to help them as soon as possible. I will discuss the symptoms, ways to help yourself, and where you can go in order to get treatment for depression.
First of all, you have to notice symptoms to realize that you or someone you know is depressed. One of the sypmptoms of depression is persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood. If you feel like you are always sad or empty inside you may need to get checked out. Another symptom is the feeling of hopelessness. A lot, of people that suffer from depression feel that they have no hope in life to do anything, or accomplish anything. Another symptom of depression is feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness. Also, loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex is another symptom of deprsssion. Decreased energy, fatigue, being "slowed down", are all signs of depression. Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions, are all sings of depression. Insomnia, early morning awakening, or oversleeping, can all be clues that the one you loved is depressed. Appetite and/or weight loss or overeating and weight gain, can all be sympotoms of depression. A lot, of people want to try to eat there problems away, or starve them away. Thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts, are obvious signs of being depressed, and need to be treated immeaditley. Restlessness, irritability, are symptoms as well. Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain, are all forms of symptoms of depression. There are very many sypmptoms for depression. A lot, of people are faced with these symptoms but they play it off as they are just facing a rough patch at that time. Or, they don’t think its anything to worry about, they will come out of there depression. But in most cases inorder to come out of the depression, you have to fist realize that you are depressed. If you are any one you know is facing any of the symptoms of depression you should go get help as soon as possible, or if it’s a loved one convince them they need help, before doing any more damage to themselves.
Now, you here are someways to help yourself in the state of depression. One way is to set realistic goals and assume a reasonable amount of responsibility. In doing this you are accomplishing things, and you don’t
