Do you agree with Lewis’s statement that” we depend for a very great deal of our happiness or misery on circumstances outside all human control.
In the United States, there are 50% of married couple divorce in recent year and 59.9% of them got divorced because unhappiness; they might just marry for money, beauty or some other reasons. So I agree with C.S. Lewis statement “that we depend for a very great deal of our happiness or misery on circumstances outside all human control” which he mentioned in the essay “We Have No Right to Happiness”.
Some people seek for their happiness that depends on the youthfulness and the beauty of their spouses. They are very proud of their beautiful wife or their handsome husband. Nevertheless, conform to the nature regulation, the youthfulness or the beauty is faded following the time of age. At that time, of course, their happiness is also faded.
