DRUG PUSHERS OF THE WORLD
SPECIFIC PUPOSE:
To inform my audience on the situations that arise every year with the people that smuggle drugs in the USA. And what actions should be taken to prevent these murders from killing our youths.
CENTRAL IDEA:
Drug smuggling is a $400 billion annual income for these pushers. Who wouldn’t want a piece of that profit? How can we (the USA) put these guys to a stop?
INTRODUCTION:
Did you know that it takes only $200 of cocoa to make $50,000 of cocaine, that’s official. It’s in the United Nations report on drugs. Another statistic is that a kilogram of heroin in Pakistan cost $3000 but sells in America for $130,000.Pretty much, it pays to be a pusher.
A. Worldwide the international drug business produces as much as $400 billion annually. That amounts to 8% of all international trade!
B. Three quarters of all drug shipments would have to be stopped to seriously effect the business. Right now, we can estimate we are stopping 13% of heroin shipments and 30% of all cocaine shipments. The cost to our people is unreal.
TRANSITON:
The Clinton administration spent nearly $17.9 billion on the war with drugs. The one thing this shows is that the drug war will not be one. Any amount of money being thrown at the problem is minor to the profit made. There are more drugs on the street now than ever.
BODY:
A. It is in our human nature to want to experiment. Part of this curiosity makes us the wonderful beings we are today. Yet buying illegal drugs opens us to a vicious world. Drug addicts cannot know what they are talking or how much.
B. Contents of drugs are changed and substituted depending on the substance being made, witch by the way were never intended on being put in human veins or lungs. Who do you know that would knowingly ingest sand, talcum powder, cement dust, drain cleaner and countless other poisons.
C. Knowing this, most drugs on the street have one or all of the following ingredients in them. Know one can tell how much or what they are taking.
TRANSITION:
This brings me to my next point, Disease among the population is only increasing due to people sharing dirty needles. More that 70% of all woman who have hepatitis c and aids got it from using drugs and other peoples needles.
