According to me the best rule in the decision making process id the Utilitarian or Consequential Rule, which is the basically the ethics of a decision totally based on the decision's consequences. It simply means that a decision that delivers the good to the greatest number is the ethical decision. As this is the rule which can benefit the company and in person because in this rule we tend to decide on the basis of how much in return you get if you have to give up on basis of to get better.
I think for a company the best thing for a company when deciding is also to keep in mind the values of the organization and what you get in return as in how you can benefit your stake holders. From my perspective the most important thing you can give is be honest to the organization and make decision on the basis and keeping in view the ethical consideration which can benefit them as well as the organization.
