Food Mart

This case study primary deals with the issue confronting the manager of Food Mart store on whether to close the store or not. There are a lot of factors that must be considered by Joe Smith in finding the appropriate solution to the company's problem. Two stores in a suburban area in Missouri were scheduled to be closed. There were some protests with regards to the closing of the store. There were different issues and concerns that unfolded. Some customers disagreed with the closing of the store for this decision might not be beneficial on their part. The senior citizen's concern is that, the location of the new store will be very inconvenient for them. It will cost them additional money for the payment of the fare since it is not within walking distance. And only a few of them could afford to do so. And if the store will be closed there will no store to serve the customers within the area of stone hill since all other store ran out of business because of Food Mart.

What is the best recommendation that Joe Smith could give the president of Food Mart that would benefit both the company and the customers?
