First Year Seminar has been a great learning experience throughout my first semester at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. We have discussed many great topics that included: the Colleges of the Fenway, challenges students face when transitioning from high school to college, how to manage time, civility and professionalism, health care disparities, and career options for after graduating MCPHS. One of the most beneficial things done in FYS in my opinion was the keeping time logs and analyzing them. In doing this activity, I was able to see where my time was spent, where time was wasted, and how I could become more efficient. Another great discussion we had in class was about health care disparities. I feel that in having this discussion that I will try to be more aware of this issue when I am a pharmacist, and on my end of the situation avoid this issue. An issue that relates to the topics of health care disparities that was discuses was civility and professionalism. This was a great topic to be discussed as our college as a whole intends on going into careers that are "professional" and one should know how to act, dress, talk, etc. if one plans on going into
