Gatsby and Daisy - She Loves Me She Loves Him Not

She Loves Me She Loves Him Not

All of the quotes that I choose for the project demonstrate a symbolic setting. For example on of the quote where Gatsby is through parties trying to get Daisy to come to him there are a few different symbols. The First one is the house because Gatsby want Daisy to come to Nicks next door so Gatsby’s house stands out. Also he would through all of these parties not even wanting to be part of them, but he thought that plenty of people just come to them uninvited and just maybe Daisy would. That is why there is binoculars because Gatsby is in search for Daisy.

When Gatsby and Daisy reunite is also a very big symbolic setting because this part is what the whole book runs off of. In the setting it was raining when the reunited showing Daisy mourning, that is why on my project there is a rain cloud and there is two hearts being connected on behalf of the love between Gatsby and Daisy. In the story and quote I choose once the two reunited it became sunny showing new life and love so that is why there is a sun on the section of the quote.

Another quote that I choose that is symbolic is when Gatsby got his new identity which is a very being this. The symbols that I choose for that quote was a dollar sign because Gatsby inherited $25,000 from Dan Cody. The yacht represents Dan Cody because without it him and Gatsby would of never met. The tomb stone as well represents Dan Cody because he was killed by Ella, and because of that Gatsby inherited the money which was a start of making him Wealthy.

The quote about the heat and Tom and Gatsby getting in a fight is
