Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The title of my book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It is written by J.K. Rowling. I really liked this book. This book is a fiction book. That of course means it’s not true.
Harry Potter is a twelve-year-old boy whose parents were killed by Voldemort. Harry has a scar shaped like a lighting bolt on his forehead. He has black hair, like his father, and green eyes, like his mother. Ron Weasley is a red haired, freckled faced boy. Ron is Harry’s best friend. He is very poor and has five older brothers and a younger sister. Hermione Granger is Harry and Ron’s other friend. She has muggle parents. She has bushy brown hair. She is the smartest witch in her class. Ginny Weasley is Ron’s younger sister. She is in her first year at Hogwarts. Draco Malfoy is Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s worst enemy. He is from a pure blood family. Draco is in Slytherin’s house.
The time of the book is now. It takes place in London, England. It also takes place at a school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Harry Potter is not a normal boy. He is a wizard in his second year at Hogwarts. Harry lives with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. Uncle Vernon was having a builder and his wife to dinner. Harry was going to have to act like he was not there, while the Masons were there. When they got they the Dursley’s, Harry went up to his room to find a house-elf on his bed. The elf’s name was Dobby; he came to warn Harry not to go back to Hogwarts. Harry didn’t care though; Dobby went down to the kitchen. He made a cake, Mrs. Dursley made, float and land on Mrs. Manson’s head, and disappeared. They thought Harry did it and they punished him. He was locked in his room and had bars put over his window.
A few days later, late one night Harry heard something. A car was flying towards his window. It was Ron and his twin brothers, Fred and George. They pulled the bars off the window and loaded up Harry’s stuff. They went to the Weasley’s house, the Burrow. Mrs. Weasley was mad at them for taking the car. They had to de-gnome the garden, at lunch they got their letters from school telling them what all the needed. They were going to travel by floo powder. Harry had never done this, so he let Ron go first. Harry then threw the powder into the fireplace and yelled Diagon Alley.
When Harry stopped spinning he opened his eyes. He was not in Diagon Alley, but Knockturn Alley. He was in an old store, Draco Malfoy and his father came in to sell so stuff. Harry hid just in time, so Draco couldn’t see him. The Malfoys left, Harry got out of the store. The half giant, Hagrid, helped Harry find the Weasleys. They went to the bank, Gringotts, for money to buy their books. Next, they went to Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart, a famous wizard, was signing books. They got their books and went back to the Burrow. A few days later, they all packed their stuff up and took the flying car to the station. Everyone was through, but Ron and Harry, they ran into it and hit hard, the barrier had closed, they waited for a few minutes and went to the car. Ron decided to fly the car to school. They were landing when they mashed into a tree. The tree started punching the car. The car fell, threw them out and drove off. Ron’s wand broke on the end.
The next morning, Ron got a Howler from his mom. The y went to Herbology where they repotted Mandrakes. Harry was going to Quidditch practice, after a few minutes the Slytherin team came to the field. They said they had to train their new Seeker, Draco Malfoy. Draco’s father bought the whole team new Nimbus Two Thousand and Ones. Hermione got mad and told Draco what she thought of him. Then Draco called her a Mudblood, Ron tried to put a curse on him, but his wand backfired and he started burping up slugs. They went down to Hagrid’s hut, when Ron stopped burping slugs they went to the castle. Professor McGonagall told them, they would be going to do detentions later. At five Ron went to the trophy room and Harry went to Professor Lockhart’s office. When detention was over, Harry heard a cold voice in the walls. When he got to the common room he told Ron and Hermione about the voice and went to bed.
A day in October, Harry was stopped in the corridor by Nearly Headless Nick. He asked Harry if he and his friends would like to come to his five hundredth death day party. On Halloween, they went down to the dungeons to the party, the music was horrible and the food was uneatable, so they stayed for a little while and left the dungeons. Then, Harry heard the cold voice again, he followed it, and there was no one around, but Ron and Hermione. Neither Ron nor Hermione could hear the voice, Harry ran up the stairs following the voice until he got to the end of the second corridor.
