Some tips for the Group Projects:

• Form Groups of 4- 5 students.

• Select an Enterprise: Micro enterprise, SMEs, MNCs, or Govt. Agencies.

• Apply the concepts, tools and techniques learnt in Strategic Management Course.

• Expectations: Minimum 30 pages. Double spacing. Times New Roman. Font: 12.

• Assign task for each member. Meet regularly. Discuss progress. Leader reports issues to me.

• Gather information about the selected company, - from various sources.

• What problems/ issues faced by this company – support it with facts & data?

• Write –up hints: Introduction: Get background info. Why your team has chosen this company

• Evaluate Current financial Performance / Results. See their financial trend over 3-5 years (min)

• See recent reports, data, etc. Explore multi-dimensionally. Seek insightful facts / data.

• Who are the Owner(s)? Major shareholders. Where Located. Current issue?

• Issues / Problems: FORHIM: Financial, Operations, R & D, HR, ICT, Marketing, Product, service…

• Others: Discerning Customers, Suppliers, Management, Employees, other stakeholders, Technology. Competitors, collaborators, patents issues, regulatory, etc

• Do Industry analyses. Comment on the Trends and Challengers – within, local, regional and global- faced by this organization. Reactive and proactive measures taken.

• Examine & evaluate its internal environment : Mission, Objectives, Strategies,
