The Jersey Devil
Synopsis:
The Jersey Devil is a cryptid that is said to inhabit the Pine Barrens forest in New Jersey. It is also known as the Leeds Devil as it is referred back to its mother, "Mother Leeds" which was a which that had her 13th child and had invoked the devil into it. It is described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different descriptions as to exactly what it may be. The Jersey Devil has also become a part of popular culture in the state of New Jersey as it has became the name of the National Hockey League's the New Jersey Devils.
Origins:
Most people (sources) believe that the Jersey Devil originated in the 18th century when "Mother Leeds" gave birth to her 13th child and it soon after turned into a devil and flew off into the forest. I believe that this creature may very well be simply a mix of a horse's torso, a big birds legs, and maybe a gigantic bat's wings.
Bigfoot
Synopsis:
Bigfoot is believed to be one of the most popular folklore legends in North America. The scientific community believes that a Bigfoot would not be able to support a population large enough to continue breeding habits as a result of the resources available around where they have been believed to have been spotted. Bigfoot is described as being a six to ten foot tall hairy ape-like creature that weighs over 500 lbs. And covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. It is also known that its footprints have been recorded as large as 2 feet long and 8 inches wide. However, some of these prints have contained claw marks, which may mean that either it has claws, or the prints were false and came from a bear.
Origins:
The legend of Bigfoot most likely originated somewhere in North America sometime during the 20th century, with the most prominent piece of evidence being the Patterson-Gimlin film that was created on October 20th, 1967. The film was a short motion picture of an unknown subject aka Bigfoot. The film was subjected to many attempts to both prove it true and false. I personally believe that Bigfoot is real, but he is in fact nocturnal and it may take a long time before anybody or anything gets a good look at what it/he really is.
Roswell Incident
Synopsis:
On July 8th, 1947, there were reports of a recovery of what was believed to be extra-terrestrial debris which included alien corpses around Roswell, New Mexico. After extreme speculation, some super scientists determined that it was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance or weather balloon which belonged to a classified program called Mogul. Other scientists still stick to their beliefs and think that it was actually an extra-terrestrial aircraft that
