I Have a Dream
I have a dream
Upon reading Dr. Martin Luther kings speech, “I have a dream” I was left with a very optimistic feeling of hope. Kings speech was created in a times less and
boundary less fashion. This speech was not just about African Americans and there
hardships and struggles, but of human freedom and the pursuit of happiness and justice.
This speech can empower people of all races and cultures because it speaks and demands
in an outcry for the right to be happy.
In his speech King made it specific and detailed to list the many ongoing
problems and circumstances of those times. “ I am not mindful that some of you have
come her out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow
jail cells. Some of you have come from areas where your request for freedom left you battered by storms persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality.” (p.11).
He clearly understood and endured there same struggles , he probably had the same fierce
anger
