Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre was published in 1847, by author Charlotte Bronte. According to Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre is a critique of Victorian assumptions about gender and social class. It became one of the most successful novels of its era, both critically and commercially. Jane is a young girl who was making her way through life, by making important decisions regarding school, friends, and her family. Jane's experience in the book shows similarities towards the author Charlotte Bronte. The plot of Jane Eyre tells the story of a child's maturation and focuses on the emotions and experiences that accompany and incite his or her growth to adulthood Jane becomes a mature woman who narrates the novel retrospectively through Bronte is the use characters, irony, and conflict to show that people, while inherently good, will take advantage of others.
Charlotte Bronte was born in Yorkshire, England on April 21, 1816. Maria Barnwell and Patrick Bronte were the birth parents of Charlotte. Her mother passed away when she was only five years old. Charlotte's aunt helped her brother-in-law raise the children. Charlotte
